Collector's Edition Quilt Along

 

Welcome to the Collector’s Edition Quilt Along! This dynamic quilt pattern was designed to inspire makers to use the good fabric! I am Kelly and I’ll be hosting this QAL. I’ll be using OG Cotton and Steel and current Ruby Star Society collections, but you can use any fabric you want. There are so many fabric collections that have been begging to be showcased in a quilt like this, the sky is the limit!

Post your weekly progress and interact with new friends in the Facebook group or use #collectorseditionQAL when posting on Instagram! Awesome quilty people and businesses are sponsoring weekly giveaways throughout the QAL and posting your progress will get you entered. And you can use #collectorseditionswap to post requests for fabric swaps.

Now for the details!

Open to anyone who wants to join us! The QAL starts on April 24th and runs 12 weeks. Find the schedule here.  

This pattern finished in two sizes, a large or small throw. Both sizes are done in sections, with the large throw completing sections 1-12 and the small throw completing only sections 7-12. The QAL will be structured for the large throw, but feel free to join us for piecing sections on June 12th if you prefer to make the small throw.

This QAL is intended to be low stress! The pace is relaxed with two weeks to gather the pattern and fabric, a week for cutting, a week to complete 1-3 sections (depending on number of pieces and complexity), and a week to complete the top. A catch-up week is built in too!
