Mission & Purpose
Steel City Quilt Company supports the quilting community through two guiding principles of value and equity.
We believe there is inherent value in quilting as a craft, an art, a passion, a platform, a business, and everything in between. We carry high quality quilting fabrics and notions and offer professional longarm quilting services that are available to makers in an inclusive and accessible environment. Makers have a safe place at Steel City Quilt Company, where differences are recognized and celebrated.
We believe it is incumbent upon makers to use their collective voices for social justice. As a business, we recognize the privilege that allows us to own Steel City Quilt Company, and understand the responsibility that carries. In 2022, we have committed to redistributing 5% of sales every month to non-profits with an emphasis on social justice and equity. We also offer discounts for longarm quilting of artistic and memorial quilts used to advance social justice and equity.
Each month we update the list of non-profits receiving donations from Steel City Quilt Company. We invite you learn about the work each non-profit is doing and to consider making a donation in an amount meaningful to you.
